Edinburgh-based synth-pop trio Thundermoon formed when longtime pals Lorna Kelly, K Messer, and Shaz Jamieson joined forces to create a gender-bending synth sound with spacey harmonies and retro riffs. Their influences include LCD Soundsystem, CHVRCHES, Daft Punk, Underworld, 80’s synth, 90’s dance, and old-school punk.
Their debut EP received support from The Skinny, Plastic Magazine, BBC Rapal, Jim Gelatley, Amazing Radio, Music Mag, Mesmerized & Off The Record.
In 2024, they are set to release new singles and an EP on New Teeth Records, alongside their debut festival slots at Knockengorroch & Kelburn Garden Party. They were featured as the Scotsman’s Artist of The Week and their new releases have received support from BBC Radio Scotland, with features on The Roddy Hart Show and BBC Introducing in Scotland.
